Today, Amira and her children are facing famine. There is no bread to eat, no safe shelter, and no way to provide stability for her family. Jalal and Bayan cry themselves to sleep from hunger while Amira hides her tears, powerless to ease their pain. She writes with urgency: “I do not want to lose my children. I need you.”
