Help Lisa Stay Housed
Help Lisa Stay Housed. Lisa is fighting to stay housed, and urgent support is needed. After facing recent health emergencies and missing work, she now struggles to cover $1,500 in rent and bills. Her story is one of survival, resilience, and love—yet without help, she risks losing her home.
Lisa is disabled, and despite her health challenges, she has been fighting hard to remain sober and stable. However, the pressure of overdue rent, medical costs, and daily expenses is overwhelming. She doesn’t even have a bed of her own—only a couch where she lets her dog, Raven, sleep beside her. Even then, she often goes without enough food to make ends meet.
Her older sibling, Jen, who is organizing this fundraiser, shares how Lisa has been struggling for years against cycles of abuse, neglect, and hardship. They grew up as latchkey kids, unloved and beaten down, left to survive with little support. Yet they endured. Today, Jen fears that Lisa might collapse under the weight of her health battles and financial strain.
Still, Lisa continues to fight. She refuses to give up, even as the burden grows heavier. And with help, she can continue to heal and keep her home. Donations will go directly toward rent, bills, food, and medical costs—essentials that will allow her to stay safe, housed, and on the path of recovery.
This is beyond survival, it’s about dignity. It’s about giving Lisa the chance to breathe, to rest, and to rebuild her strength while caring for Raven. With the community’s support, Lisa can remain housed and continue to break the cycles that have tried to defeat her.
