Rimas faces hydrocephalus, scoliosis, congenital hip dysplasia, epilepsy, and constant infections from a fragile shunt system that drains fluid from her brain. As a result, she cannot move without help and requires continuous care. Her mother took her abroad for treatment and fought for her survival, but resources have run out.
Bombardments, poverty, and displacement intensify the crisis. Families like Rimas’s depend on mutual aid to survive. Supporting her care means more than medical costs. It means giving a disabled child the chance to live with dignity in the midst of genocide and erasure.
